tryna settle down,
stepping thru the clouds,
kept heru around,
feet solid on the ground,
my spirit loud,
stood firm,
notice what i put first couldn’t hurt more,
had to work towards peace,
in the stussy fleece, through the breeze,
flew to the east and i seen it,
never knew that i could reach it,
show me love when i feel defeated,
been a minute shit been decent,
i ain’t heard a whisper from a demon,
got 2 the peak and i looked at the sky,
know ima get it if its mine, took time,
can’t hide what’s the behind the eyes, grip the prize,
in my mind spinning,
cuz these times different,
driftin strong vision,
many bodies one mission,
pour a 5th and reminisce,
me and bliss, got these niggas sick,
i was by the bridge,
when the trauma hit,
smoke a lot of spliffs,
Q gone quick,
had to cop a zip,
never not widdit,
for the chips imma grind,
imma live ima climb,
unwind off the wine,
told my mama i’ll be fine,
saw the signs,
had me in a bind,
long ride it’s all mine

to hear two diamonds in the rough in Backwoodz and Ruby Yacht on the same track is really quite a special moment we're unlikely to hear again, and boy does that track pay! Pay Dues Make Do
this album came out the day after my high school graduation, and there have been tons of memories associated with this one. mike's showing his range on this one - from downright despondent on scarred lungs 1/2 and suffocate to hopeful on stargazer and PLANET to flexing his muscles on take crowns, summer 17 and my favorite, its like basketball. harrisonjohn28
...it's a work of art. The way he goes across genres to express the black experience...I LOVED Ensley but I'm glad that he went totally left. James Smith
